Programs for International Students

Non-Degree-Seeking Programs

International Bilateral Exchange Programs

Every year, working in cooperation with partner universities, Efrei welcomes a number of non-degree-seeking international students who wish to study in France for 6 months to a year.  The exchange program is open to both French-speaking and non-French-speaking students who have completed a minimum of 3 years of study at one of our partner universities.
In order for international exchange students to transfer the credits earned at Efrei, Efrei’s international department and the partner university must validate the contents of the study abroad program, which are specific to each student. They are defined in writing in a learning agreement and could include:

  • courses offered in French
  • courses offered in English
  • a research project
  • an internship in a company (international students keep their student status during the internship)

Within the framework of bilateral partnership, the tuition fees are waived for non-degree-seeking students in the exchange program.

European Mobility Program: ERASMUS

Efrei has been part of the Erasmus program for nearly 20 years and has now 31 Erasmus partnerships with European universities in 14 countries.

Established in 1987, The Erasmus program or "European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students" offers European students and teachers the possibility of studying abroad in another participating European country for a period of 3 months to a year.

European students participating in the program must sign the Erasmus Student Charter and a learning agreement which sets out the program of studies during the study abroad period. This written document must be agreed upon by the home university, the host university and the student. Any changes to the agreement should be agreed upon in writing by all three parties. If the student complies with the requirements of the learning agreement, then recognition of the study abroad period by the home university is ensured.

All tuition fees are waived for Erasmus students.

Spring and Summer School Program

In response to its partners’ demands in North America, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, Efrei has put in place short academic programs in the spring (1 month in March) and summer (1 month in June), which give international students the opportunity to take courses in ICT, management and French. Credits earned in these short programs are transferable.
All tuition fees are waived for spring and summer school students when the program is part of the bilateral agreement signed with partner universities.

I-week Program

Every year, Efrei organizes an international week in collaboration with the student organization “I Week”. During this period, students from our partnership universities are invited to discover the school and life in Paris in the company of their French counterparts from Efrei.  This multicultural event promotes intercultural exchanges and the creation of an active international network.

The n+i Program

n+iEfrei is a member of n+i , a network of sixty engineering schools promoting French engineering education.
The n+i networks gives international students who already hold an undergraduate degree in engineering the opportunity to complete their graduate studies in France.

International students interested in the n+i program can begin the application process by visiting www.nplusi.com.

The n+i program offers a range of services to ensure the smoothest cultural, linguistic and academic transition possible:
